Job Description

RF Engineer is needed to perform the following duties:

  • Strong working experience on UMTS/LTE/5G systems (Radio network planning & optimization)

  • Design Database Review and Update to include New Site and Cell Information

  • Should be familiar with wireless planning tools such as ATOLL/ASSET/Planet

    •  Should be able to define RF Parameters for different radios Parameters, Load Simulations.

    • Main Design Parameters like -TDD Frame configuration, adaptive modulation, antenna height, and azimuth planning

    • CW Propagation model tuning using different prop models

    • Coverage Reliability and Bearer curves definition

  • ·Ability to Perform and Review Gold Standard Parameter Audit for sites/carriers integrated in OSS.

  • ·Perform Parameter changes on OSS – related to Gold Standard Alignment or optimization Related parameter Changes.

    • Ability to work with Tower/Civil/DAS Vendors and Field Technicians/Operations Technicians to troubleshoot RF Path Issues and verify post resolution.

    • RF Drive/Walk/Geo-Located Data Analysis and providing RF Recommendations – E-tilt/M-tilt, Power, Idle and Connected Mode Parameter Changes, Azimuth Changes etc.

    • RF KPI Monitoring - Accessibility, Retainability, DL Throughput, Mobility.

    • Capture and Review Baseline KPI’s for the Site – Macro/In-Building and/or Cluster to identify KPIs that don’t meet KPI Targets and Thresholds.

    • Knowledge on OEM vendor equipment’s like Ericsson ,Nokia.

    • Review RFDS and Design Data – CIQ and compare it against OSS data.

    • Identify Worst KPI Offenders – Cells or Sites in cluster and then perform a deep dive RCA to troubleshoot and fix the issue – make relevant Parameter Changes (  E-tilt/M-tilt, Power, Idle and Connected Mode Parameter Changes, MIMO Parameters, Power Control Parameters, Traffic Balance related parameter changes etc. )

    • Create customer deliverables including link budgets, frequency plans, propagation prediction maps, and provides network optimization feedback.

    • Planning of PCIs/TAC, neighbors for planned sites.

    • Running Predictive Analysis based on customer propagation models to determine Coverage Gaps.

 

Bachelor's Degree is required in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
